Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Fisheries Act, place restrictions on use of underwater breathing apparatus such as scuba gear and compressors used for the collection, catching and diving for fish. As a general rule, no person shall: (a) in any way collect, take, or dive for fish using underwater breathing apparatus; or (b) be in possession of underwater breathing apparatus for the purpose of collecting, catching and diving for fish. The Regulations, however, grant power to the Permanent Secretary of the Fisheries Department to exempt, at certain conditions, persons holding a valid licence to use breathing apparatus.
