Abstract
These Regulations provide for control of the collection, processing and storage of bovine semen.
They make provision for: (a) the licensing of premises as bovine semen centres; (b) the quarantine of bovine animals; (b) the collection and storage of semen; (d) the application and grant of bovine semen centre licences; (e) the approval of bovine animals from which semen may be collected at EC and domestic semen centres and at unlicensed premises; and (f) the approval of teaser animals.
The Regulations establish apply certain provisions to semen may be collected and processed for trade with other EU member States and other provisions to semen may be collected for use in the UK.
