Abstract
The Calorie Labelling (Out of Home Sector) (England) Regulations 2021 require large businesses to display the calorie information of food and drinks that (a) is offered for sale in a form which is suitable for immediate consumption, (b) is not prepacked food, and (c) is not exempt food under Regulation 4. Regulation 5 specifies content of calorie information that must be displayed (energy content, size of the portion), where it must be displayed (at the point of choice for the customer, such as on menus, menu boards, online menus, and food labels) and also the statement “adults need around 2000 kcal a day”.
