Abstract
These Regulations make provision for the implementation in Northern Ireland of the European Regulations (as defined) relating to the administration of the common agricultural policy of the European Union. The Regulations, among other things: set out provisions on control and enforcement in relation to direct payments to farmers and rural development payments; make provision with respect to application under Regulation (EU) No. 1306/2013 Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 640/2014; provide for debts owed to the Department Agriculture and Rural Development to be deducted from future payments to beneficiaries; establishe offences and penalties for any person obstructing, failing to provide reasonable information or providing false or misleading information to any person executing these Regulations.
