Abstract
These Regulations make provision in Scotland for the administration of Regulation (EU) No. 1307/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing rules for direct payments to farmers under support schemes within the framework of the common agricultural policy. They, among other things: prescribe the minimum size of agricultural parcel in respect of which a single application can be made; specify the minimum eligible area of a holding in respect of which direct payments may be granted to a farmer; define permanent grassland for purposes of EU legislation; specify short rotation coppice list of planted tree species for purposes of the EU Regulation; defines ecological focus areas for purposes of Article 46(2) of the Regulation; provide with respect to payment entitlements, crop diversification and repayment due from farmers; define offences.
