Abstract
These Regulations implement Community legislation regarding support schemes for agriculture under the Common Agricultural Policy, including the Single Farm Payment Scheme. They also establish the Scottish Beef Scheme. In relation to the Single Farm Payment Scheme, the Regulations: (a) define Scotland as a region for the purposes of Article 46(2) of the Council Regulation; (b) prescribe the minimum size of a holding in respect of which a direct payment may be made; (c) provide with respect to transfer of a payment entitlement.
