Abstract
These Regulations provide for the enforcement of EC Regulations as specified in Schedules 1 and 2 concerned with the production and marketing of wine and related products. These Regulations, inter alia: (i) designate competent authorities for purposes of enforcement; (ii) specify conditions for the use of geographical ascriptions for the designation of table wine; (iii) permit the planting for certain purposes of vine varieties whose planting would otherwise be prohibited; (iv) provide for powers of inspection and enforcement; (v) provide for the control on the movement of wine; (vi) specify the regions in the UK for producing quality wines psr; (vii) specify characteristics of such areas. The schedules contain community provisions relating to the common policy have been revised and brought up to date. (25 regulations)
