Abstract
These Regulations amend the Environmental Noise Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 to implement EU legislation relative to the assessment of environmental noise. The European Union Commission Directive 2015/996/EC establishes common noise assessment methods and replaced Annex II of the Directive 2002/49/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with a new Annex. That Annex lays down the common noise assessment methods. which shall now be applied. Minor and consequential amendments concern, among other things, competent authorities.
