Abstract
These Regulations amend the Feedingstuffs (Zootechnical Products) Regulations 1999 by introducing a Community method of analysis for the determination of lasalocid sodium in feedingstuffs, in implementation, in relation to zootechnical additives and products with zootechnical additives in them, of Commission Directive 1999/76/EC. The Feedingstuffs (Zootechnical Products) Regulations 1999 implemented, in relation to such additives and products, a number of Community instruments including in particular Council Directive 70/524/EC, with amendments up to and including those effected by Council Directive 96/51/EC, on additives in feedingstuffs, and Council Directive 95/69/EC which lay down the conditions and arrangements for approving and registering certain establishments and intermediaries operating in the animal feed sector. These Regulations also bring cross-references in the Medicated Feedingstuffs Regulations 1998 up to date.
