Fisheries (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.R. No. 209 of 2019).

These Regulations are made in exercise of the powers conferred by the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 in order to address failures of retained law relating to fisheries to operate effectively and other deficiencies (in particular under paragraphs (a), (c), (d) and (g) of section 8(2)) arising from the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union. The retained legislation includes notably the Sea Fishing (Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing) Order (Northern Ireland) 2018 and the Registration of Fish Buyers and Sellers and Designation of Fish Auction Sites Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2005.
