Abstract
These Byelaws concern the granting of licences and relative charging of duties by the Fisheries Conservancy Board to take or kill specified freshwater fish or for the use of specified gear including driftnets. The Byelaws also provide for appeal against decisions of the Board and introduces restrictions on certain fishing and on the use of gears and engines.

By virtue of section 1(3)(b) of, and paragraph 3(1)(c) of Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Public Authorities (Reform) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 references to “Byelaws” in the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 are now to “Regulations”.
