Abstract
These Regulations amend the Foot and Mouth Disease Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 in regulations 15(1) on a temporary control zone and 30(4) on declaration of protection zones and surveillance zones on confirmation of the disease in the Republic of Ireland.
The Order makes provision, among other things, for notification, suspicion and investigation of the disease and measures applying following confirmation of the disease applying also to edible products such as meat and milk. They also provide for protection and surveillance zones around infected premises in case of an outbreak in Scotland or Wales close to the border with England.
