Abstract
These Regulations implement Commission Decision 2007/588/EC which amends Commission Decision 2007/554/EC concerning certain protection measures against foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom, by regulating the export of live animals, meat, semen, ova or embryos of animals of the bovine, ovine, caprine and porcine species and other biungulates, meat products, milk and dairy products, hides and skins and various animal products. They also regulate the movement of live animals and the sale of meat not eligible for export, create offences in relation to anything which is prohibited to export under the Regulations and provide for powers of enforcement. Certain provisions do not apply to products that have been processed in premises operating HACCP.
