Abstract
These Regulations implement for Scotland Community measures for the control of foot-and-mouth disease as set out in Council Directive 2003/85/EC.
They make provision for, among other things: preventive eradication and additional powers of slaughter; a programme of vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease; licences for vaccination; control of movement of animals from premises where vaccination is being undertaken; and identification of vaccinated animals. The Regulations also prohibit the dispatch of vaccinated animals for intra-Community trade.
