Abstract
These Regulations implement Community legislation on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment and public participation in respect of the drawing up of certain plans and programmes relating to the environment. They apply in relation to marine works for which a regulatory approval (as defined in regulation 2) is required.
The Regulations specify the circumstances in which an environmental impact assessment is required in relation to marine works and provide for such procedures for such environmental impact assessment and information and participation in the process of the public.
