Materials and Articles in Contact with Food (Wales) Regulations 2012 (W.S.I. No. 2705 (W.291) of 2012).

These Regulations implement for Wales Community legislation introducing a positive Community list of additives approved for use in the manufacture of plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foods. The Regulations, among other things: contain provisions which make it an offence to contravene certain requirements of Regulation 1935/2004 and Regulation 2023/2006; provide for designation of the competent authorities for the various purposes identified in the Regulations; provide rules and standards applicable to the use of certain substances.
