Abstract
These Regulations— • implement Directive 2014/52/EU(a) of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the assessment of the effects of certain public and private projects on the environment (“the EIA Directive”) (as it applies offshore and to certain pipe-lines on land in Great Britain); • implement an obligation under Article 6 of Council Directive 92/43/EEC(b) on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild flora and fauna (“the Habitats Directive”) as it applies offshore to oil and gas activities, carbon capture storage and gas storage, and unloading; and • make minor corrections to the Offshore Petroleum Licensing (Offshore Safety Directive) Regulations 2015 (S.I. 2015/385)
