Regulation
Abstract
The Regulations implement in England Community legislation concerning the organization of veterinary checks on products entering the Community from third countries including products of animal origin such as meat, fish, milk, and products made from these, together with egg products and various animal by-products, including casings, skins, bones and blood. The Regulations provide for methods and procedures of official control and specify import conditions for products to which these Regulations apply. Those products must comply with the requirements listed in Schedule 1 to these Regulations.
Changes to the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (England) (No. 4) Regulations 2004 are made so as to implement Community instruments that have come into force since the 2004 Regulations were made. They concern, among other things, documentation and notification, import conditions and veterinary checks.
