Abstract
These Regulations amend the Seed Potatoes (Scotland) Regulations 2000 implementing a Community decision on authorization of the marketing of seed potatoes for test and trial purposes. They also make a number of minor amendments relating to crop tolerances and labelling requirements. Test and trial seed potatoes marketed in Scotland must satisfy the minimum source, tolerance, purity and size requirements for basic seed potatoes set out in Directive 2002/56/EC. Other provisions are amended to include seed potatoes for test and trial purposes concern: classification, marketing, sealing of packages, retail sales, information regarding seed potatoes, classification of seed potatoes, particulars to be included in a crop inspection report and varietal purity and size.
