Sharks, Skates and Rays (Prohibition of Fishing, Trans-shipment and Landing) (Scotland) Order 2012 (S.S.I. No. 63 of 2012).

This Order provides for conservation measures for sharks, skates and rays in Scottish waters,pursuant to Article 10 of Council Regulation (EC) No 2371/2002 on the conservation and sustainable exploitation of fisheries resources under the Common Fisheries Policy. The Order, among other things: prohibits for domestic vessels the landing and transshipment of specified fish and prohibits the use of certain fishing gear; gives British sea-fishery officers powers to enforce the Order; prescribes penalties for offences formulated in this Order.
