Territorial Sea Act 1987 (Guernsey) Order 2019 (S.I. No. 1118 of 2019).

This Order extends the territorial sea around the Bailiwick of Guernsey to 12 nautical miles, except that: the border between the territorial sea surrounding the Bailiwick of Guernsey and Bailiwick of Jersey, in which case the points set out in Schedule 3 form the border; when the territorial sea around the Bailiwick of Guernsey and the territorial sea around the French Republic overlap, the territorial sea extends to the median line of the Bailiwick of Guernsey and the French Republic’s baselines; borders shall be established to comply with the Decision of 30 June 1977 and the Decision of 14 March 1978 in the Case Concerning the Delimitation of the Continental Shelf between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the French Republic where those Decisions result in a breadth of less than 12 nautical mile. The Schedule contains exceptions, adaptations and modifications in the extension of the Territorial Sea Act 1987 to the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
