Abstract
The Regulations prohibit the sale and importation of any food intended for human consumption which contains more than 200 milligrams of tin per kilogram of such food (reg. 4). Food containing tin exceeding that limit may be treated as being unfit for human consumption and be liable to be seized and destroyed(reg. 5). Regulation 6 provides for defences in any proceedings for an offence agains these Regulations. Regulations declares several provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990 to be applicable for the purposes of these Regulations. (7 Regulations)
