Abstract
The Regulations make provision with respect to control of BSE in the United Kingdom. They provide that the Secretary of State is the competent authority for the purposes of the Community TSE Regulation (except in Schedule 6, where the competent authority is the Food Standards Agency). The Regulations further deal with approvals, authorizations, licences and registrations, occupier's duties, suspension, amendment and revocations of approvals, etc., and an appeals procedure and provide for inspection. The Schedules contain provisions relative, among other things, to eradication measures and the control of feeding stuffs.
