Abstract
Importation of an animal shall be done only under a permit issued by the Superintendent of Agriculture (reg. 4). Regulation 5 defines ports for purposes of entry. Regulation 6 concerns inspection of animals, whereas regulation 7 concerns quarantine. Other regulations concern specific requirements for the importation of cats and dogs (reg. 10), horses (reg. 11), cattle, pigs, sheep and goats (reg. 12), rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, turtles and caged birds (sect. 13), monkeys (sect. 14), carcasses of cattle, pigs, sheep and goats (reg. 15), fodder and litter (reg. 16), dung (reg. 17), products that came into contact with animals (regs. 18 and 19), and biological products (vaccines etc.).
