Grenada Tourism Authority Act (No. 42 of 2013).

This Act lays down provisions on the establishment, powers and duties of the Grenada Tourism Authority; establishment, procedures and functions of Board of Directors; licensing of tourist accommodation or tourism enterprise; fees; fund and resources of the Authority; and offences. The Grenada Tourism Authority has the power to suspend a license in case the licensee fails to keep the premises in a sanitary and safe condition, or engages in, permits or fails to take reasonable steps to prevent conduct that is likely to endanger the health, safety or well being of occupants. Furthermore, the Authority may with the approval of the Minister make regulations for giving effect to the provisions of this Act, including but not limited to: in respect of the regulation, licensing and classification of tourist accommodation, tourism enterprises and tourist sites, and in respect of regulating the inspection and securing the cleanliness and safety of tourist accommodation in accordance with the pro- visions of the Public Health Act.
