Decree No. 257 of 2012 of Georgian President on Granting Status of National Significance to Monument of Intangible Cultural Heritage

This Decree grants the status of a "Monument of Intangible Cultural Heritage" of national significance – the Qvevri wine-making tradition. Qvevri (or Kvevri) is a unique large earthenware vessel used for fermenting and storing traditional Georgian wine across Georgia since the ancient times. Qvevri is also included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists.
