Abstract
This Law provides for the protection of the cultural heritage of Georgia. The purpose of this Law is to protect the cultural heritage of Georgia and to regulate legal relations originating in this field. This Law applies to cultural heritage in the whole territory of Georgia. It also provides that Georgia cares for the protection of the cultural heritage of Georgia located abroad. The procedures for the export and import of objects of cultural heritage and cultural value from and into Georgia, as well as the procedures for the regulation of professional activities in the field of cultural heritage, shall be defined by individual legislative acts.
