Joint Order No 01/01-01/145–No104–No23–No315/N of 2002 of Minister of Economy, Industry and Trade, Minister of Environment and Natural Resources, Chair of State Technical Inspection, and Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia on Protection of Atmospheric Air in Case of Emission of Hazardous Substances into Air as a result of Accident

The Joint Order regulates air protection measures during accidents. It consists of 13 articles: Legal basis (1); Scope of regulation (2); Legal regime on air protection (3); Purpose and objective (4); Definition of main terms (5); Principles (6); Rights of individuals and legal entities when hazardous substances are emitted by accident into air (7); Obligations of individuals and legal entities when hazardous substances are emitted by accident into air (8); Prevention of accidents (9); Risk assessment, mitigation and action plan during the accidents (10); Measures against adverse effects of the accidents (11); Liability (12); and Amendments and additions to the Joint Order (13). The purpose of the regulation is to prevent accidents and/or mitigate/liquidate the adverse effects for the protection of atmospheric air.
