Abstract
The Law regulates calculation of the subsistence minimum in Georgia. The minimum is used for state programs and social development indicator purposes. It consists of seven articles: Purpose (1); Notion of subsistence minimum (2); Function of subsistence minimum (3); Calculating subsistence minimum (4); Regulation of subsistence minimum (5); Amendments to the Law (6); and Entry into force (7). Under the Law, subsistence minimum is an amount that, at a given time, is required for minimum physiological and social needs of a person. The National Statistics Office publishes this number.
