Abstract
Pursuant to Article 94 of the Constitution of Georgia and the Law of Georgia on the Principles of the System of Fees, this Law define the types and rates of fees established by the State for licences, and establishes terms and procedures for their payment. A license fee (save the local license fees fixed by agencies of local self-government and administration) shall be a single mandatory sum payable to the central budget by natural and legal persons for the right to engage in the activities defined by law, as well as for certain services rendered by the State. Licences shall be granted to legal or natural persons for the right to engage in the activities defined by the Law of Georgia on Licensing of Entrepreneurial Activity and by other statutes, including: (a) manufacture of veterinary drugs; (b) exploration and extraction of mineral resources; (c) production, repair and trade of firearms; (d) land use planning; and (e) hydrotechnical and land improvement engineering.
