Abstract
This Law, in compliance with Article 94 of the Constitution of Georgia, with the Law of Georgia on Basic Principles of the System of Fees and with the Law of Georgia on Licenses and Permits, determines the types and rates, as well as the procedures and deadlines for payment of the fees established for the right granted by the State to perform activities that require a license or a permit and that are determined by law, and/or for the right of use granted by the State. This Law also determines the types and rates, as well as the procedures and deadlines for payment of the fees for services rendered by state bodies. Among others, the Law pertains to license for nuclear and radioactive activities; license to use live genetically modified organisms in a closed system; producing biological pesticides; and license to use natural resources, including general license for forest use; special license for timber harvesting; license to export fir cones, as well as snowdrop bulbs and/or cyclamen tubers that are listed in the Appendices to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES); special license for the hunting sector; fishing license; mineral extraction license; license to use underground space; designing power, hydrotechnical and melioration facilities; designing water supply, engineering systems and networks; designing industrial, production and agricultural buildings and structures.
