Order No 2-51 of 2003 of Minister of Agriculture and Food of Georgia on Adopting “General Rules and Regulations for Production of Grape Wines”, “Taking Inventory of Technological Processes”, “Rules for Mandatory Reporting in Winemaking Industry regarding Production and Sale of Products”

The Order approves two sets of rules (despite what the name of the Order might suggest): “Taking Inventory of Technological Processes”, and “Rules for Mandatory Reporting in Winemaking Industry regarding Production and Sale of Products” (“General Rules and Regulations for Production of Grape Wines” was repealed in 2014). The rules on Taking Inventory of Technological Processes consists of four articles: General provisions (1); Taking inventory of technologies for production of grafting materials and grafted plants of vine (2); Vineyard book (3); and Technology book (4). Rules for Mandatory Reporting in Winemaking Industry regarding Production and Sale of Products consists of 12 articles: General provisions (1); Mandatory reporting (2); Liability for violating mandatory reporting rule (3); Rights and duties of the National Wine Agency (4); Reporting on production and sale of vine grafting materials (5); Reporting on vineyards (6); Reporting on intention to produce wine with designation of origin (7); Reporting on processing of grapes (8); Reporting on production of wine with designation of origin (9); Reporting on circulation of wine (10); Reporting on production of sparkling wine (11); and Reporting on production of brandy spirits and wine brandy.
