Abstract
This Order establishes rules for the creation and maintenance of a register and a unified electronic database containing information on farm holdings and rural enterprises. It provides for the recording of data on the location and activities of such entities, as well as information related to their operations and support measures, and provides that the register forms part of an integrated administrative and control system. It further provides for the identification of farm holdings and rural enterprises through the collection and maintenance of such information.
The Order defines the terms used in the regulation, including agricultural activity, farm holding, rural enterprise and farmer, and specifies that agricultural activity covers the primary production of agricultural products as well as related activities. It designates the competent authority and the responsible agency for maintaining and managing the register and provides that the information contained in the system is to be regularly updated on the basis of available cadastral and related data used for the identification of the entities concerned.
