Order No 76 of the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources on Approval of the Charter of the Sub Agency – Forestry Department of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources.

This Order designates the Forestry Department as the state sub-agency subordinated to the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources. It performs state policy and public functions in the forestry sector. The Department shall be responsible for managing the state forestry fund, and specifically for: (a) implementation of state forest policy; (b) forest protection against illegal timber extraction, forest fires, pests and diseases; (c) registration of forest resources; (d) cooperation with other governmental agencies in the forestry sector; and (e) management of public forests.
