Resolution No. 106 on the Prohibition of the Production, Import and Placing on the Market of Certain Plastic Products Intended for Contact with Food.

This Decree prohibits, from 1 July 2026, the supply by public catering establishments to consumers of the beverages specified in the annex in plastic bottles, and, from 1 February 2027, prohibits the production, except for export, import and placing on the market of such beverages in plastic bottles. It establishes exceptions for specified supplies and production intended for the operational needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Defence Forces, and excludes certain larger-volume beverages from the production ban. Enforcement is entrusted, within their respective competences, to the National Food Agency and the Revenue Service in relation to imports.
