Resolution No. 337 of 2018 of Georgian Government on Certification of Seed and Planting Materials of Agricultural Varieties subject to Mandatory Certification

The Resolution adopts rules for certification of seed and planting materials of agricultural varieties subject to mandatory certification. It consists of 11 articles: General provisions (1); Purpose of certification of seed and planting materials (2); Definition of terms (3); Certifying agency (4); Procedure for certification of seed and planting materials (5); Review of application and making a decision (6); On-site inspection (7); Sampling packages of seed and planting materials and laboratory testing (8); Issuing certificate (9); Control testing (10); and Term of validity of certificate (11). The purpose of certification is to determine quality of seed and planting materials; to support manufacturers of seed and planting materials; and to increase productivity by improving the quality of seed and planting materials.
