Abstract
The Resolution provides rules on labeling of pesticides and agro-chemicals. It consists of six articles: General provisions (1); Tare labeling of pesticides (2); Instructions for safe use (3); Use regulations (4); Symbols Indicating Pesticide Hazard Types (5); and Marking agro-chemicals (6). It also includes Annex 1 on Hazard Classes as set by WHO; Annex 2 on Symbols Indicating Pesticide Hazard Types; Annex 3 on Sample Label of Containers; Annex 4 on Sample Inside Label of Packaging; and Annex 5 on Icons Indicating Safety Measures when Storing and Working with Pesticides. The Resolution was adopted under the Law of Georgia on Pesticides and Agro-chemicals and FAO International Code of Conduct on Pesticide Management. Its main provisions regulate the issues arising from marking substances used in agriculture, biological material and agro-chemicals.
