Abstract
The Resolution regulates the procedure for developing disaster risk management plans which would mitigate the negative effects of disasters. It consists of 14 articles: General provisions (1); Providing information to the public (2); Subjects authorized to develop disaster risk management plans (3); Types and degrees of disasters (4); Risk classification (5); Risk Identification (6); Risk analysis (7); Risk assessment (8); Disaster impact assessment (9); Vulnerability and its assessment (10); Resilience assessment (11); Risk development scenario (12); Map of threat and risk (13); Risk mitigation (14); and Risk management plan (15). The Resolution lays down rules for disaster risk identification, analysis and evaluation, and other essential components for developing a disaster risk management plan. The regulation is used for prevention, preparedness, response and reconstruction planning stages. The plans need to be developed by the subjects of the unified disaster management system as provided under the law.
