Resolution No 46 of 2014 of Georgian Government on Rules of Circulation of Timber in Georgia and Primary Processing (Logging) Facilities of Timber Logs

The Resolution regulates timber movement and primary processing of timber logs. It consists of 3 chapters and 21 articles: Scope of Regulation (1); Definition of terms (2); General rules for the origin document of timber, its forms and use of special marking (3); Authorized agencies for issuing timber origin document (4); Authorized agency for issuing timber origin document forms and marking, and accounting thereof (5); Issuing the origin document by the agency in charge of forest fund for social logging and the agency s authority (6); Rules for filling out forms and liability for truthfulness of the information by the license holder or holder of long-term forest use contract (7); Transporting and issuing the origin document for timber materials that are obtained from state property adjacent to internal waters as well as from municipal and private property (8); Issuing the origin document for timber that has transferred into state property (9); Issuing the origin document for timber materials obtained from various types of state property (10); Regulation of timber in circulation in Georgia (11); Grounds for issuing and revoking special marking (12); Mandatory requirements imposed on transportation of timber and the validity period for the origin document of timber (13); General requirements on primary processing facilities for round timber logs (14); Requirements to prevent pollution in logging facilities (15); Registration requirements for logging facilities (16); General requirements for receiving, processing and issuing round logs from logging facilities (17); Requirements imposed on maintaining electronic log (18); Monthly reporting requirements imposed on logging facilities (19); Revocation of registration of logging facilities (20); and Transitional provisions (21). As its annexes, the Resolution also includes document forms and marking samples as well as dimensions of timber materials and breakdown of information for reporting purposes.
