Abstract
The Resolution regulates assessment of hazards associated with using GMOs in a closed environment. The document provides for two levels of risk: risk level 1(A,B) and risk level 2 (A,B). The risk is assessed by the person using the GMOs before an application for the license of GMOs use is filed with the state. The Resolution provides for criteria which need to be used when assessing the risk level. It also requires the persons using the GMOs to periodically update the risk levels according to the new circumstances. In its annexes, the Resolution also provides for preventive measures required for each risk level; safety measures for laboratory work; safety requirements for greenhouses and plant cultivation rooms; safety requirements for work in animal units; and safety requirements for other activities.
