Abstract
The Resolution lays down rules for diagnosis of classical swine fever. It consists of nine chapters: General provisions (I); Differential Diagnosis of classical swine fever (II); Main criteria for recognizing pig stalls as suspect for classical swine fever (III); Procedures for inspection and taking samples (IV); General procedures for collecting and transporting samples (V); Principles for virus analysis, use and result assessment (VI); Principles for serological research, use and results assessment (VII); Discriminatory research in cases of non-contagious vaccination (VIII); and Minimum safety requirements imposed on laboratories working on classical swine fever (IX). The manual is intended for the National Food Agency and the laboratories undertaking research on classical swine fever.
