Abstract
The Resolution regulates methods of calculating environmental damage. It consists of 14 articles: General provisions (1); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by harmful anthropogenic impact on atmospheric air (2); Method of calculating environmental damage to soil (3); Method calculating environmental damage caused by soil degradation (4); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by illegal use of forest (5); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by damaging, cutting or destroying greenery in Tbilisi, other cities, municipal centers and towns (6); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by damaging fishery stock and other hydrobionts (7); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by illegal capture from wildlife (8); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by using subsoil minerals (9); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by pollution of water (10); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by pollution of Black Sea waters (11); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by noise (12); Method of calculating environmental damage caused by exceeding permitted limits of electromagnetic and electrostatic field (13); and Amendments to the Resolution (14). The Resolution also includes more detailed breakdown of figures and tables, as its annexes, for calculating the damage in each of the cited cases. According to the document, the main purpose of the Resolution is to lay down rules for the calculation of environmental damage caused when using natural resources or being engaged in industrial activities. The Resolution imposes the obligation to pay for the laboratory expenses on the polluter.
