Abstract
The Resolution regulates the method of taking samples and conducting examination on microelements and contaminants in food. It consists of 10 articles: Purpose and scope of application (1); Definition of terms (2); Requirements for taking samples (3); Plan for taking samples (4); Preparing and examining samples (5); General requirements imposed on examination methods (6); Special requirements imposed on examination methods (7); Explanations for performance criteria (8); Safety method for designated purpose (9); and Report and interpretation of results (10). The Resolution also includes annexes pertaining to specific performance criteria and sampling methodologies. The purpose of the Resolution is to lay down unified rules for sampling and assessment of quantity during the state control measures of lead, cadmium, mercury, non-organic tin, non-organic arsenic, 3-MCPD and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
