Abstract
The Resolution regulates radiation safety standards in industry, science and education. It consists of 11 articles: Purpose and scope of application (1); Definition of terms (2); General requirements (3); Functions of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Georgia (4); Obligations of the entities/persons regarding use of sources of ionizing radiation and equipment containing thereof used in industry, science and education (5); Qualifications of the entities/persons using sources of ionizing radiation and equipment containing thereof used in industry, science and education (6); Radiation monitoring in industry, science and education (7); Transporting radioactive substances used in industry, science and education (8); Storage and physical protection of sources of ionizing radiation in industry, science and education (9); Preparedness and action plan in case of radiation accidents and/or incidents (10); and Transitional provisions (11). The purpose of the Resolution is to protect humans and the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation.
