Decision of the Minister of Rural Development and Food no. 1618/162339 of 2021. Determination of the necessary additional measures for the implementation of Regulations (EU) 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and (EC) 589/2008 of the European Commission concerning the egg sector and for the mandatory online connection of the egg market sector in the ARTEMIS system.

This Ministerial Decision provides for implementing measures and provisions of European Regulations (EU) 1308/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and (EC) 589/2008 of the European Commission regarding the egg sector and the egg market, and particularly concerns: measures related to the online connection of all the enterprises of the egg sector with the "ARTEMIS" system for monitoring the production and marketing of table eggs, the handling and keeping of the monthly egg balances; the processing and production units of eggs and egg products; egg packaging centres; retailers and wholesalers of eggs. The Decision also concerns duties and responsibilities of competent authorities, the Directorate of Food Utilisation and Technology of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, and the Hellenic Agricultural Organisation DIMITRA; monitoring and supervision activity; entering data in the electronic application ARTEMIS ; business activities obligations related to transparency in the egg market and traceability of egg products; veterinary health control system; information for consumer protection; infringement, fines committee and complaints committee; administrative sanctions.
