Abstract
This Regulation lays down detailed rules governing the marketing of eggs within the European Community. Such rules are adopted in implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No. 1234/2007 establishing a common organization of agricultural markets and on specific provisions for certain agricultural products (Single CMO Regulation). These provisions cover quality characteristics to be met by eggs, as well as marking and packaging requirements.
