Law No. 2006 ratifying the Agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs and on the special equipment to be used for such carriage (ATP), done at Geneva on 1 September 1970.

The present law ratifies the Agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs and on the special equipment to be used for such carriage (ATP), done at Geneva on 1 September 1970 and provides for the implementation in Greece of its provisions and of matters relating to the international transport of perishable foodstuffs. The law, through the provisions of the Agreement, lays down standards for special equipment for carriage of perishable foodstuffs, provisions relating to the checking of insulated, refrigerated, mechanically refrigerated or heated equipment for compliance with the standards, methods and procedures for measuring and checking the insulating capacity and the efficiency of the cooling or heating appliances, distinguishing marks to be affixed to special equipment and temperature conditions for the carriage of certain foodstuffs which are neither deep frozen nor frozen. The text of the law comprises the Agreement itself and the Annexes in the form in which they entered into force on 1 September 1970.
