Ministerial Joint Decree No. 54477/2598 accepting the Agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs and on special equipment to be used for such carriage (ATP), as signed at Geneva on 1 September 1970 as amended and came into force on 15 May 2003

The present Decree ratifies the Agreement on the international carriage of perishable foodstuffs and on special equipment to be used for such carriage (ATP) of 1970 as amended in 2003. The Decree, through the provisions of the Agreement, lays down standards for special equipment for carriage of perishable foodstuffs, provisions relating to the checking of insulated, refrigerated, mechanically refrigerated or heated equipment for compliance with the standards, methods and procedures for measuring and checking the insulating capacity and the efficiency of the cooling or heating appliances, distinguishing marks to be affixed to special equipment and temperature conditions for the carriage of certain foodstuffs which are neither deep frozen nor frozen. The text of the Decree comprises the Agreement itself and the Annexes in the form in which they entered into force on 1 September 1970 as well as the amendments thereto up to 15 May 2003.
