Law no. 5111 of 2024. Provisions to enhance consumer protection, development and orderly functioning of the market, arrangements to assist businesses affected by disasters and other provisions.

This Law deals with individual problems arisen in the market in the fields of consumer protection, following industrial activities and investments, and thus provides for solving various procedural and organisational issues of the Ministry of Development. The Law also amends legislation regarding consumer protection and industrial activities. Matters covered by this Law include: strengthening consumer protection through price reduction, establishment of competent authorities and agencies; imposing sanctions in the context of market surveillance of industrial products and in relation to specific activities, including: transport and storage; monitoring the development of investment projects; additional measures to enhance development of the country, through certification of proficiency in the field of public procurement; provisions for business activities affected by natural disaster and further emergency measures.
