Ministerial Decision No. 37/48518. Individual Digital Beekeeping Identity.

This Ministerial Decision, in application of subparagraph b of paragraph 3 of article 9 of the Law no. 4691 of 2020, provides for creating the National electronic beekeeping register, and concerns: type of individual beekeeping identity card, the data it contains, the form of keeping these data, the competent authorities and the related procedures for issuance, renewal and update. The Decision designates the competent authorities, responsible for: the coordination, monitoring and supervision of the process of issuing beekeeping identities; the proposal for the adoption of legislative and other administrative measures regarding the issuance of beekeeping identities; the development of a special digital application for the issuance of beekeeping identity cards in electronic-immaterial form; the cross-checking and verification of the data that will be printed on the beekeeping ID before its final printing. The Decision concerns: usefulness of beekeeping identity, in order to: monitor and control the movements of the hives of beekeepers who practice nomadic beekeeping and the accessibility of the hives; verify the details of the beekeepers during transportation and marketing of beekeeping products of their production; limit, prevent and deal with cases of bee theft; fees and expenditure.
